Children are always encouraged to keep moving and be active! While a child’s body and spinal joints are incredibly flexible and often perceived as being capable of bouncing back from the minor and major stresses, compensations in joint movement function may start to occur.  

What indications do you need to look out for if your child needs to see a chiropractor? 

If your child is constantly tripping or feeling clumsy while running during a soccer game, or always complaining of a sore back or hamstring after a game of cricket, it is a sign that your child may have to come in for a chiropractic assessment.  

Here at LJ Chiropractic we do an overall check for your child’s symmetry in muscle function and joint movement to make sure they are perfoming at their best.  It is important to address the bumps and falls that happens along the way so that they are less prone to developing faulty moveemnt habits that will require muscle re-education.  

Chiropractic management with children is gentler than of adults, as they only require light joint mobilisation, muscle stretches and rehabilitation advice to achieve noticable change in movement function.
